SOLDOTNA POLICE DEPARTMENT PRESS RELEASE
August 8, 2019

AND THE DEFENDANTS ARE PRESUMED INNOCENT UNLESS AND UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY**
On 7-20-19 at 4:10 a.m., Soldotna police responded to a residence off Airport Heights Street for disturbance. Ralph R. Banks, 51, of Kasilof, was arrested for assault in the fourth degree and taken to Wildwood without bail.
On 7/22/19 at 3:09 p.m., Soldotna police stopped a vehicle on the Sterling Highway near Birch Street. Glenn Rodman, 37, of Nikiski, was issued a criminal citation for driving while license suspended and released.
On 7/26/19 about 7:45 p.m., Soldotna police received a welfare check request on two people passed out in a car in the Safeway parking lot. Investigation led to Robert Reed, 27, of Ninilchik, being issued a criminal citation for misuse of license plates and released.
On 7/26/19 about 8:10 p.m., Soldotna police received a report of a possibly intoxicated driver who hit another vehicle in the Taco Bell drive-through and then drove away. The vehicle was stopped on Marydale Avenue and Morgan Lancaster, 24, of Soldotna, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, refusal to submit to a chemical test, leaving the scene of an accident, and assault on a police officer in the fourth degree. Lancaster was taken to Wildwood.
On 8/1/19 about 8:00 p.m., Soldotna police contacted a person hitchhiking near Mile 94 Sterling Highway. Tonya Fry, 45, of Soldotna, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and was also found to be in possession of heroin. Fry was taken to Wildwood on the warrant and for misconduct involving a controlled substance in the fourth degree.
On 8/2/19 at 11:37 a.m., Soldotna police responded to Sportsman’s Warehouse for a theft complaint. Marco Barajas, 39, of Kenai, an employee at Sportsman’s Warehouse, had stolen several items throughout the month of July, 2019, while at work. Barajas was arrested for 14 counts of theft in the fourth degree and taken to Wildwood on a $3500 bail.
On 8/3/19 at 7:23 a.m., Soldotna police responded to the emergency room at the Central Peninsula Hospital for an unruly intoxicated male. Troy Knutson, 46, of Kenai, was arrested for disorderly conduct and taken to Wildwood.
On 8-3-19 at 2:41 a.m., Soldotna police responded to a residence on Harbor Terrace for a disturbance. Martin Walker, 57, of Soldotna, was arrested for assault in the fourth degree and taken to Wildwood without bail.
On 8/7/19 about 3:50 a.m., Soldotna police responded to Mile 92 Sterling Highway for a reddi report involving a vehicle in the ditch. Debra Koble, 56, of Kenai, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and refusal to submit to a chemical test and taken to Wildwood.
