SOLDOTNA POLICE DEPARTMENT PRESS RELEASE
September 5, 2019

AND THE DEFENDANTS ARE PRESUMED INNOCENT UNLESS AND UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY**
On 08/17/2019 at 8:18 p.m., Soldotna police responded to the Sportsman’s Warehouse for a shoplifter, who left the premises in a vehicle prior to the officer’s arrival. The vehicle was stopped by an Alaska State Trooper on the Sterling Highway at Warehouse Drive. Steven Boutwell, 37, of Ketchikan, was arrested for driving under the influence and theft in the fourth degree and taken to Wildwood.
On 8/21/2019 at 10:23 p.m., Soldotna police stopped a vehicle on Funny River Road. The driver, James L. West, 51, of Soldotna, was under court ordered conditions of release not to contact his female passenger. West was arrested for violating his conditions of release and taken to Wildwood without bail.
On 8/25/19 at 6:39 p.m., Soldotna police stopped a vehicle on Binkley Street near Redoubt Avenue. Shelly Fall, 55, of Soldotna, was arrested for felony driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while license revoked and driving in violation of a license limitation. Fall was taken to Wildwood and held without bail. The vehicle was impounded and held for possible forfeiture.
On 8/25/2019 at 12:44 a.m., Soldotna police contacted Tarik Dukowitz, 22, of Soldotna, and arrested him on an outstanding warrant. During the arrest, Dukowitz was also found to be in possession of tar heroin and was also charged with misconduct involving a controlled substance in the fourth degree. Dukowitz was taken to Wildwood without bail.
On 9/1/2019 at 8:37 p.m., Soldotna police responded to a residence on Birch Street for a disturbance. Christopher Rock, 40, of Soldotna, was arrested for assault in the fourth degree and taken to Wildwood without bail.
