Notice of Vacancy

The City of Soldotna is recruiting candidates for the Office of Employee Representative, on the Employee Relations Board. A candidate will be selected by the City Employees during a City Employee Election on November 12, 2019.

Employee Representative for the Employee Relations Board
One, to be elected for a three-year term expiring December 31, 2022

Candidate Qualifications:
   Members of the Employee Relations Board must be a resident of the City; may not be an employee or related to an employee and may not be a member or related to a member of any labor organization which represents or is attempting to represent the City employees. SMC 2.30.040(B)

Declaration of Candidacy:
   Candidates must file a declaration of candidacy with the Soldotna City Clerk’s Office, 177 N. Birch St., Soldotna, Alaska during the filing period which begins on September 30, 2019 at 9:00 a.m., and closes on October 11, 2019 at 4:30 p.m.

   Candidate declaration packets are available from the link below. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. For additional information, call the City Clerk at 907-262-9107.

Birch Street, Soldotna Alaska 99669. Applications will be accepted until the vacancy is filled. Applications are available online at www.soldotna.org or can be picked up at Soldotna City Hall.
